Rabbit Hole 03:50
Rabbit Hole lyrics and music by Carolyn Messina (c) 2017 Tossin and turning no peace I can find. Wrapped up in worry, can't turn off my mind Tomorrow can't get here too soon. So I count sheep and talk to the moon Visions of all of the things that went wrong dance in my brain to a childhood song I wish on that star burning bright. And watch as It fades from the night Oh I want to go down that Rabbit hole and dream in bright colors again Have tea with the cat or the man in the hat Oh bring me to wonderland. Bring me to wonderland Turn on the news it’s a horrible sight famine and fighting and shots every night These images won't go away So off to bed where I will pray Here I am wide awake it's 2 a m I guess My sleeping pill failed me again I stare at the clock all aglow Reminding me time passes slow Oh I want to go down that Rabbit hole and dream in bright colors again Have tea with the cat or the man in the hat Oh bring me to wonderland. Bring me to wonderland Where I'll waltz with the king of hearts Tango with tweedle dum Swim in a sea of tears Race to get dry in the sun Oh I want to go down that Rabbit hole and dream in bright colors again Have tea with the cat or the man in the hat Oh bring me to wonderland. Bring me to wonderland

The Other Side of 45 by Carolyn Messina 0:00 / 03:07 SHARE LYRICS The Other Side of 45 Lyrics & Music by Carolyn Messina (c) 2017 I'm on the other side of 45 and 50s coming soon But age is just a number so forget the doom and gloom Dream as if you're 6 years old and worry's not a word you know The other side of 45's brand new I'm on the other side of 45 it's time to celebrate The dawning of a new day and this life that we create Gotta stop the worrying and wondering what mighta been The other side of 45 is great I'm on the other side of 45 and looking back through time I remember phone booths and when each call cost a dime Coke was something that you drank and I had money in the bank The other side of 45 is fine I'm on the other side of 45 and thinking 'bout the days You didn't have to worry when the kids went out to play Mom would say be home by five, no cell phone tethered to our side The other side of 45's okay I'm on the other side of 45 and every now and then I start to wonder why my friends are home in bed by ten But now I think I understand that bed by nine's a better plan The other side of 45 is meh I'm on the other side of 45 and not so long ago I had to get bifocals cause you know, the eyes they go. So please don't ask me how I feel, It's just a birthday no big deal The other side of 45's so-so On the other side of 45 and feeling rather bold But my body aches betray me and my hands are always cold I used to walk to school you know, two miles up a hill in snow The other side of 45 is old I'm on the other side of 45 and think this song is done What a ride it's been on this trip around the sun Another year has come and gone so join me now and sing along The other side of 45, The other side of 45, The other side of 45 is done.

Declaration (The Angry Ex-Girlfriend Song) Lyrics and Music by Carolyn Messina © 2017 One Two Look at you. Tryin’ to figure out what to do Three Four Out the door. You ain't gonna cheat on me anymore Five Six Watch the bricks Better move before they hit your Seven Eight Nine Ten Mercedes Benz Here’s a warning to all men Oh we've been dating for three years. An engagement ring never did appear Then I caught you with my friend. No excuse, this is the end But who says a grown girl's gotta cry when a boy breaks your heart with a mess of lies He's the one who should be weepin’. So turn around and watch me leavin Cause it's a 1234 declaration of war I ain't gonna take it any more. Cause there ain't no man worth crying. All you boys better head for cover Cause a women's wrath is a fiery beast with a right hook, sucker punch you’re gonna see It’s a 1234 declaration of war I ain't gonna take it anymore Well Facebook Twitter and cyberspace. Everywhere I see his face It used to be so friggin easy to rip the photos into pieces But digital is keeping me as busy as a killer bee I gotta un-friend, un-tag, block his stupid cell. Take a break, get a grip, grow a thicker shell 1234 declaration of war I ain't gonna take it any more. Cause there ain't no man worth crying. All you boys better head for cover Cause a women's wrath is a fiery beast with a right hook, sucker punch you’re gonna see It’s a 1234 declaration of war I ain't gonna take it anymore Here's my warning to avoid the storming of a hell bent girl out for revenge. Stop that sweet talking, lying cheating, keep on walking Just Stay off my list of future ex-boyfriends Yeah there ain't no man worth crying. All you boys better head for cover Cause a women's wrath is a fiery beast with a right hook, sucker punch you’re gonna see It’s a 1234 declaration of war I ain't gonna take it anymore It’s a 1234 declaration of war I ain't gonna take it anymore (c) 2017 Carolyn Messina, All Rights Reserved

Walk With Me 04:02
Walk With Me music & lyrics by Carolyn Messina © 2017 Walk with me to the end of the earth Cast your eyes to the sky Feel the warmth of the sun on your face and Catch the morning light. Walk with me to the river of dreams Down the path round the bend Pay respect to the birds and the bears Make peace with our forest friends Let's get lost in the shadows. Tread softly through these trees And dance like no one’s watching. Let it go and just be free Let's step inside this canvas. Climb that castle on the hill Cause there's no future there's no past when time is standing still. In a photograph Walk with me in a moonlit night Cause when darkness fall There's a world that most never see Or hear when the night owl calls Let's get lost in the shadows. Tread softly through these trees And dance like no one’s watching. Let it go and just be free Let's step inside this canvas. Climb that castle on the hill Cause there's no future there's no past when time is standing still. In a photograph Walk with me though I don't know just where this journey leads Take my hand and hold on tight and make this leap with me Walk with me to the end of the earth Cast your eyes to the sky Feel the warmth of the sun on your face and Catch the morning light. Let's get lost in the shadows. Tread softly through these trees And dance like no one’s watching. Let it go and just be free Let's step inside this canvas. Climb that castle on the hill Cause there's no future there's no past when time is standing still. In a photograph

about

When I released the Stepping Stones, I felt these 6 songs didn't belong on the same CD. So Stepping Stones was released digitally as an EP. and The Other Side of 45 as a separate EP. In hindsight I could have put them all together. I'm a songwriter. I write songs in all genres and styles. Anyway, hope you enjoy the music. thanks Tim Sorbs for all your help with these songs.
